THE MASTER ARCHITECT SERIES IV : J.J.Pan and Partners, selected and current works
published by The Images Publishing Group in 1999

By any standards—regional or worldwide—the Taiwanese architecture and planning firm run by Joshua Jih Pan, J.J. Pan and Partners, is a seriously successful story. Having finely honed his design skills during a decade’s professional experience in the USA in the 1970s following postgraduate studies at Columbia University in New York, Pan returned to Taiwan in 1976 and set up his own practice in 1981. In the 18 years since then, the firm has expanded from a start-up headcount of a principal, a secretary and three student employees to become one of the larger architecture firms in Taiwan, with 120 staff and over 300 completed projects under its belt.
