Tittot Taicang Artist Workshop

The project is located on one secluded corner surrounded by ecological garden at Tittot’s Shanghai plant. For the two story building, ground floor is designed for workshops and exhibitions for glass artists, and second floor is devoted to their living accommodations. The theme of this building design is based on the image of the City flower of Shanghai- magnolia. With its petals staggered, the design aims to obtain maximum perimeter of the building to capture the surrounding natural beauty. The staggered plan also helps to create several roof terraces for the inhabiting artists.

Glass blocks and artworks are amply used for exterior wall glazing and interior decoration to express the distinct character of this glass artists’ workshop.
