Men Students Dormitory No. 1,National Changhwa Normal University

The first dormitory built in the new second campus of the University, this is an eight-story building with basement for 600 students. Total floor area is 10,420 sq.m. and construction cost is NT$158,000,000. It was completed in 1994. The upper floors have four-bed dormitory rooms and are divided into three zones, each containing its own lounge, communal lounge and bathrooms. At the same time, the three zones share a common study hall, kitchenette, laundry and ironing room, thus creating an intimate, pleasant, decentralized living environment.

The ground floor contains a multi-use reception/lounge/ recreation room, dining hall and kitchen, while the basement provides bicycle and motorbike parking in addition to a mechanical equipment room. As the Changhwa area enjoys a year-round sunny climate, a solar hot water system is provided for energy conservation.
