Ho Chi Minh City Light Rail Transit System
This project is located in the capital of Vietnam consisting of a 9-km railway, that connects the first, fifth, sixth, and Binh Tan district. The planning was completed in 2008.
The initial design simulation of the stations absorbs the change brought by this system into the local city, including the platforms, ferry wheel dock, riverbank landscape, pedestrian sky bridge, hospitality, traditional markets, parks, etc. The design also employs the co-development station and elevated station, to reduce the visual impact of transportation and deliver a much more convenient pedestrian system.
This project not only provides the stations’ simulation of the construction needs, but respects the vernacularism and facilitates the urban benefits, thus reflects the surrounding environment.
