One of the leading professional journals, Taiwan Architect, features “Ministry of Finance Joint Development Project” in its July issue. By extending the surrounding diverse activities and waterfront greenery of Jingmei area, the project adopts the concepts of “Hui-Cui” which means congregating the green to integrate the unique elements of culture-human and landscape within the site. A series of fountain, hedgerow, and plants together softens the borders between the government and the civilians, meanwhile, becomes an open space for community.
The idea of “Hui-Cui” also revitalizes the old neighborhood via this governmental land re-development and facilitates the regional economic growth. This project has obtained “Good Design Award” from WACA in 2014 during design phase. The completion of this project forms a whole new urban space and thus, creates a co-existing living area for the government and the community.
