At the invitation of Harvard College in Asia Program (HCAP), Mr. Chungwei Su met with the student representatives of NTU Harvard Student Association on the evening of March 19. He not only shares his school experience of Chung Yuan in Taiwan and Harvard in Boston but later becoming an architect in Notter Finegold + Alexander Inc. in the USA. Last but the least, he joined JJP as a principal, and how he incubates himself to be an architect.
As a member of Harvard alumni, Mr. Su believes interacting with a diverse cultural perspective and escalating one’s curiosity are the only keys to survive in this trend of globalization and international integration waves. He recalled that when the day he was a freshman at Harvard, the rookies were all familiar with one quote: “If you are here to make money, you have chosen the wrong profession. We are here to make better designs. Architects enter the profession because they are not interested in money, but rather because of their passion for design”. He added that architecture is a career full of desires and dreams. Enthusiasm is the panacea for architects that help to achieve goals and overcome the obstacles.
HCAP connects Harvard alumni all over the world to share the activities. This time, HCAP collaborates with NTU Harvard Student Association to provide an international platform for outstanding students from both sides to achieve the goal of expanding global vision.
