On the occasion of the publication of new monograph, Cultivating Compassion, Tongji University Press Lumino City, the publisher, and Eslite Bookstore, co-invited the JJP’s founder of, Joshua Pan, FAIA, to Suzhou discussing with readers about the humanistic values and social responsibilities of design, and experiencing the concept of architecture with a human-oriented spirit. The event was hosted by Dai Chun(戴春), Operations Director and Responsible Editor of Time+Architecture.
The event was lively and interactive, with more than a hundred readers witnessing and many of them bringing flower bouquets. The signing session also brought the atmosphere to a climax. By the spirit inside the monograph, JJP looks forward to more interactions and dialogues with worldwide outstanding architects in the future.
The book “Cultivating Compassion: Humanistic Architecture as Practiced by JJP Architects and Planners" details the history and development of JJP. It contains 21 completed projects. The page layout of this book is elegant with abundant photos and illustrations. And through the dialogue, commentary articles and other means to fully demonstrate the firm’s philosophy and core values.
